Hello, I'm Dr. Steven Hassan, and I'm absolutely delighted to have with me a very honored guest, Paul Chang.

Paul Chang serves as the regional anti-human trafficking coordinator at the U.S. Department of Labor,

wage and Hour Division.

In his 25-plus years with the agency,

Paul worked on some of the most celebrated cases as an investigator and assistant district director,

including the landmark Elmante Thai slavery case in 1995.

He's developed numerous training materials and programs, including the very interesting

and important enterprise model that focuses on strategic approaches to prosecution, protection,

and prevention of forced labor, as well as certification

program to help the garment industry avoid sweatshops in their supply chains.

Paul has been on special assignment to the White House initiative on Asian Americans,

Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, and the letters are

W-H-I-A-A-A-A-N-H-P-I, wow, since 2013, where he currently serves as the national co-chair of the

regional network.

Paul is also an adjunct professor at California State University, Los Angeles, and Vanguard

University.

Paul has received as BA and MPA from California State University, Los Angeles, and is currently pursuing his PhD at Claremont Graduate University.

Paul Chang, you're so busy at the Department of Labor,

and I've been wanting to sit you down and ask you to share your expertise with the public for months, and we finally are doing it,

so I'm so excited. Forgive me if I sound a little hoarse, just got over COVID, which I explained
