So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for.

Today we are going to meditate a little bit

deeper on the baptism of Jesus because there's so much to learn from it. But I also want you to know if you

remember back to the first part of November we started with the very beginning of the Catechism, and we started working through

all those paragraphs on the reason that God created humans coming to understand God and the Trinity better, what

happened with the fall and original sin. And now we're going to start working through that section in the

Catechism to understand the person of Jesus better. But if you follow along

with the Rosary podcast all year, you will go through all of the sections of the catacism.

So let's go a little bit deeper on the baptism of Jesus. In Romans

Chapter 5, St Paul writes, Sin entered the world through one man and through sin, death.

And thus death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. And Paul sums this up in the next chapter saying

that the consequence of sin is death. Well here's the problem. God gave us freedom, and freedom means the ability to deal with the consequences of our actions.

But how in the world are we supposed to deal with death?

Because once we die, we can't save ourselves.

Someone else must come and save us.
