Do you consider yourself a trusting person?

I have to say that I do. And look, it's certainly true that when you lean into trust,

you trust others, there will be times where you're disappointed, or where you may

feel betrayed or where other people might simply let you down, rip you off, take advantage of you, and so forth.

And still, I would rather trust. I love this old saying. I can't remember who said it. I should be able

to look it up and share it with you. Following on Instagram because I want to find it and

post it at suzy dot more but here is the quote even if I knew that tomorrow

the world would fall to pieces. I would still plant my apple tree.

Now what does that mean? Right? Look, there are various interpretations that I've heard, but

we never really know do we like what's a certainty

nothing's really 100% certain apart from of course death and taxes. But I even in a world where people do let you down, where you can be betrayed where things can go wrong,

I would still rather live my life as a trusting person.

I'll never forget this time when Heath and I were in Europe, this was years ago,

when we were in Italy and I came across this lady that was selling jewelry in a small market and the market was there every day during the summer and I found this ring that I loved I still have it and I was like oh my gosh this is perfect for me let me get it and I went to pay her and for some reason my credit card at that point declined.

Sometimes this happens right when you travel internationally, it gets frozen.

We must have arrived pretty soon.

I think we had arrived pretty soon at that point.

And so these hiccups happen.

And I said to her, please, please, please, please, can you hold this for me?
