There's fear coming not just from students, but from our parents, from faculty, and that's a very real concern.

How does it feel this year compared to last year?

In terms of tangible impact, I think there is a lot more fear.

Instead of going to a protest just by like walking in or seeing a gathering and joining, I have to consider, should I put on a face mask?

Should I, like, be in picture? Should I make myself visible? Should I be seen?

I shouldn't be worried even as a U.S. citizen that was born in the United States.

But those are the very real conversations people are having.

So I'm glad that we could come together because there's a lot of conversation happening right now about higher education.
