What's up everyone? Welcome back to the show. Today we're talking about something that you hear a lot about.

All sorts of gardening tips and tricks will use this product and claim that it does crazy things in the garden.

And the product I'm talking about is Epsum salts, also known as magnesium sulfate.

Now, we know from our plant nutrient studies that these are essential nutrients that our plants need.

So it does stand to reason that Epsom salts can work quite well in the garden.

So the question then becomes, okay, well where can we use Epsom salts?

What are some different ways to use them?

Now first of all, you're going to want to take a soil test

before you apply any sort of extra nutrition

to the soil, especially something like this.

However, having said that, here are some ways

that you can use your epsum salts.

Number one, you can actually just broadcast it straight up into your soil and mix it.

So let's say you're prepping a new bed.

You can broadcast about a cup of epsum salt per 100 square feet and then mix that into the soil before planting.

You can actually do it while you're planting.

So if you're planting seedlings or new plants you can dig a hole, you can place about a tablespoon of

some salt into the bottom of the hole, cover that with some dirt, place the

plant in the hole and then finish planting. You can actually use it as a

pre-planting soak, so you can soak root balls in a half cup of
