| 0:00.0 | What's up everyone? Welcome back to the show. Now this is a thing that I hope you never have to do but it's still something that we need to talk about. Can you compost a tomato? |
| 0:12.0 | So by the end of the season, and I know we're not there yet, but I figured I'd get this one out of the way, |
| 0:18.0 | tomatoes are gonna have a lot of issues, right? |
| 0:21.0 | Your tomatoes, all the good ones you've already harvested, you still have |
| 0:24.4 | a lot of stuff that is ready to get out of the garden. Certainly get out of your beds. And the question |
| 0:30.2 | then becomes, what do you do with all of that stuff? Can you compost all those |
| 0:34.9 | tomato vines, maybe some of the less attractive tomatoes that you didn't end up |

| 1:15.8 | volunteer tomatoes when the weather starts to warm in the spring as well and if you |
| 1:19.6 | think that's a problem well that's up to you for me a volunteer tomato is just a tomato that started on its own and I can then |
| 1:27.6 | take that out into the garden and start growing with it kind of like the |
| 1:31.2 | experiment I did where I just planted an actual |
| 1:33.2 | tomato in the ground. That ended up being the the godfather if you will or the |
| 1:38.5 | godmother of 10 plus tomatoes I took off in early spring that were beautiful, juicy, and ripe. |
| 1:44.2 | So I'm certainly a fan of that volunteer tomato strategy. |
