0:21.6	When George Floyd happened like many of you, I'm sure felt like you wanted to do something
0:25.8	like right away, and I was consuming all of this stuff, but it was making me so frustrated

0:37.8	I really just wanted to focus on one thing that I thought I could help build a movement

0:59.8	And so I was trying to figure out how do we get a more progressive DA in Los Angeles.
1:06.4	I was someone who was completely new to local politics.
1:10.6	I had no idea even what a district attorney did.
1:14.1	I ended up reaching out to all of these local organizations that were already building
1:19.3	these movements behind the DA.
1:21.6	Every single organization that I reached out to all needed help with building movements

1:29.6	Every single one.
1:30.6	And I was like, wait a minute, you don't need me to like go protest.
1:35.4	And so I wanted to talk to somebody who's been doing this for a minute.
