| 0:15.3 | What is going on everybody? Welcome back to the Mind Over Macros Podcast. Been a long hiatus. I just got back from a trip to Italy which was absolutely incredible and there was something I was thinking about as I just got back last |
| 0:20.1 | night and I kind of made this connection with what I experienced on my trip and kind of how we approach our fitness goals and especially how we approach things after a vacation or after things kind of get hectic or we have you know a social event or a family gathering a birthday barbecue, whatever the case may be. |
| 0:44.3 | So I'm going to explain that. |
| 0:46.3 | But first I just want to kind of provide some context. |
| 0:49.6 | So as I mentioned, I was in Italy for about 10 days and this trip was a little bit different. |
| 0:58.0 | Normally, you know, when you own your own business, you know, first of all, there's never a good time to go away and also there's never like a true break. |
| 1:09.4 | So typically when I go away I still have a lot of work to get done and this time was no different but I decided that I had been just |
| 1:20.0 | getting to that point of burnout and I really wanted to take some time and like |
| 1:26.4 | actually have time off and now I still did some work while I was there I still |
| 1:31.9 | checked in with clients and I still scheduled my, |
| 1:36.2 | you know, regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday emails, but, um, and you know, quick shameless plug. |
| 1:41.6 | If you're not on my email list you should get on that |
| 1:43.4 | because my emails are pretty damn good in my humble opinion but anyway so that |
| 1:50.3 | was that was pretty much it you know I really wanted to keep work to like an absolute minimum and give myself just some time to decompress, recharge my batteries. I've got an incredibly jam-packed couple of months ahead with a lot of stuff that's exciting. |
| 2:08.6 | It's a good problem to have, but I know that these next two to three months are going to be like serious grind long days I'm |
| 2:15.8 | going to be working a lot and so this trip was really about just enjoying the experience. |
| 2:21.9 | Italy has been very high up on my to-do list for a long time, |
| 2:26.7 | and I've just never made it happen, |
| 2:28.3 | and I think the timing, there was never going to be a perfect time, it was just about me making the decision to go. |
| 2:36.0 | And then I also knew that based off of what I had coming up with my work schedule, |
| 2:42.0 | that I really needed to just recharge and the reason I'm telling you this is |
| 2:46.8 | You know this trip was very much an all-in trip like I wasn't focusing on macros. I wasn't focusing on, you know, any sort of like |
