Summary

Australian-born creator, actress, and entrepreneur Cartia Mallan joins the pod for a vulnerable and reflective convo about anxiety, identity, content creation, grief, and growing up online. They dive into boundary setting with friends, social media burnout, staying true to yourself in a trend-obsessed world, and how to rebuild self-trust when you’ve been over-giving. Cartia also opens up about navigating grief after the loss of her father and the complex emotions that come with it. This ep is core Real Pod: healing, relatable, and packed with perspective shifts you didn’t know you needed.

Why do I want to be perfect? There's nothing in my life that is perfect.

Every week, I'll bring you honest, unfiltered,

0:22.0

and eye-opening conversations to help uncover the real in all of us. I crave the type of content

that you're talking about. I actually felt insecure. Oh my God, I'm not going to cry. Let me just

Hello, hello. Welcome to RealPod. It's my birthday today. How crazy is that? I feel like it's what, well, every year, the day of your birthday changes. So it's every once in a while that the real pod will come out on my birthday. I'm of course recording this a little bit before my birthday. So I'm pretending that is my birthday and how I'll feel. But as far as what I'm doing today, I am doing nothing. That is my dream

birthday because I just came off of Aubrey's Bachelorette, which I planned. So I am definitely

Sophie. So sandwiched in between two bacheloretts for two of my favorite friends that I love so

much, but I'm taking it easy. And honestly, I think it's the best type of birthday to just like do nothing,

1:39.4

be chill and have the date of yourself. So I'm going to be poolside, have a family dinner, maybe see a few of

1:46.0

my besties, but not planning anything and not doing anything major, just relaxing. And I'm also

1:52.4

making Max join me for lunch, take a little break from his worky to come have lunch with me.

1:57.3

So that's my day to day. Thank you for the birthday wishes and the love. You guys are the best.
