Well, this week I am joined by the very brilliant Dr. Ephoma Egekemi.

Now she is the founder and medical director of the Premium West London Medical and Aesthetics Clinic,

which is called Adonia Medical Clinic, which currently holds the highly esteemed Aesthetics Award for the best clinic in London.

And you should hear about her medical qualifications, she is a legend.

She is also passionate about helping people feel comfortable in their skin and having worked with over 30,000 patients.

There is very little that she hasn't seen and cannot help to treat.

Well, top of these skin concerns for many is adult acne.

And this extremely common condition can develop on the face, but also on the chest, the shoulders, the back and other areas of the body.

And of course it's not just a feminine thing.

If severe and left untreated, it can lead to scars and permanent markings on the skin.

And I have to say we have just had a fascinating conversation about what can cause this condition, why it can linger, or even emerge in adult life.

And how to treat both active acne and the scars and the pigmentation it tends to leave behind.

So welcome, if only it's very, very nice to have you with us talking about a subject that honestly I get so many questions and comments about.

It's it's really such a big topic for so many of all ages, but before we dive into the world of acne, let's hear a little bit about your background and how you came to be such an expert and working in aesthetics as well.

Sure, so my background, I'm a doctor medical consultant at UCLH in general medicine.

And then I have specialist training in aesthetic dermatology at who marries university where I study and trained people across the world in all sorts of different ailments that pertain to cosmetic.

So this could be anything from derma fellows threads lasers peels resurfacing body contouring as well as things that kind of cross between medicine and aesthetics, such as acne high pigmentation rosacea.

And I founded a clinic in 2017 for the dunia medical clinic, which is a skin clinic that does everything from hair loss all the way through.
