I'm your host how to talk to kids about sex.

For those of you who have just tuned in to the podcast my name is juliet allen i'm a sexologist

a sex educator a sex coach and a tantra practitioner so how to talk to kids about sex a lot of people

seem to get a little awkward on this topic. And,

you know, I've even done really big keynote talks at conferences about this. And even in a group

full of parents and educators,

there's always a few people in the room who are a little squirmish when I speak about talking to kids about sex.

So I just want to acknowledge that sometimes people can get a little sensitive around this topic.

And you may even feel a little sensitive around this topic and you may even feel a little triggered around

how I deal with the topic and I how I suggest other parents and educators and teachers

etc. deal with it. Why I'm doing this episode is because I've had a lot of listeners ask me to.

And I'm a parent myself.

So I do know how important this education is.

I'm super passionate about it because I have my own daughter.

And I've actually, my history with my career is that I worked as a youth

worker with young pregnant teens and I facilitated the child birth education

for them throughout their pregnancy and then parenting education for them

when they'd had their baby.

And throughout that whole entire process with these young people,

I incorporated a lot of sex ed.
