And today we are delving into a topic that I love so much

and that love has developed over time.

And that is the love for survivalism.

It started when I was in Oregon growing up.

And I would say my mom is a practical peasant. She came over on a boat from Romania, and she was one of those people that learned how to fashion anything into a meal or a weapon. And she's also one of those people that had the Boy Scout mentality seared into her being from a very young age,

you know, probably growing up with a great deal of uncertainty. And she really imparted that

upon me and my brothers. And, you know, when you grow up doing things like fishing and skiing

and you're exposed to the elements.

You always want to protect yourself and sometimes you don't have the means to do that.

Now fast forward to when I was 19 years old in Los Angeles and experienced the LA riots firsthand,

I saw that very thin veneer of society crumble and come down so quickly

as they went into my 7-11 ripped the doors open pulled the ATM out pulled the two guys

that I had seen every morning working pulled them out beat them up car cars were bombed on my street, and you didn't know how quickly

things were going to explode into a riot or how easily someone would turn on you if you said

something they didn't like or looked at them in the wrong way.
