0:13.5	Art history was one of my favorite classes in high school and I can't tell you how much
0:18.2	I appreciate walking the streets of New York and seeing amazing street art or the wonders
0:24.6	that are in galleries and scraping up my pennies to purchase a great piece that speaks to
0:30.1	me.
0:31.6	So I recently bought a new piece of art that brings me so much joy.
0:36.6	It's my Tyler Mitchell.
0:38.5	You might have heard of him or seen his work.
0:41.3	In 2018, he was the first black photographer to shoot the cover of American Vogue.
0:47.5	And who did he photograph?
0:49.5	Beyoncé.
0:51.7	So the piece I purchased was a shot from a video installation he did called idyllic space.
0:58.5	It shows a young man on a swing about to leap off from the perspective of someone standing
1:04.3	beneath him.
1:06.2	Can you envision that?
1:07.9	Imagine you're a kid swinging as high as possible on the playground and someone's
1:13.8	taking a picture of you from below.
1:17.6	I got this piece partially to inspire more of that playfulness in my life.
1:22.6	And partially because it's from the perspective of an artist I appreciate.
1:27.0	But purchasing this piece also made me think about the business side of art, especially
1:32.0	the economics of being an artist today.
