around our anxious minds and how they can sometimes come up with worst-case scenarios.

I think there's a few different ways the mind can do this.

The anxious mind can default to think in the worst, always thinking the worst.

I think that there's a kind of hyper-vigilance there that's often in response to

stress or trauma from our past where we expect the worse or we are so worried about things

that could go wrong that we project them and we think the worst.

And of course the real thing with this is that when we do

think the worst and when we're habituated to do that that feeds back into

our anxiety and increases anxiety.

So I think those are important things to talk about.

In a recent podcast, we spoke about the practice of redirection

for working with unwanted thoughts.

And this also works when we find ourselves thinking the worst.
