| 0:00.0 | Hey guys, in this video we're going to talk about something called SIBO, small and |
| 0:03.8 | intestinal bacterial overgrowth, okay. Now some of the symptoms are |
| 0:09.5 | bloating because there's gas involved, methane gas, hydrogen gas, hydrogen |
| 0:14.4 | soft gas coming from an excess fermentation which is the microbes are |
| 0:21.1 | eating too much food and fiber. So you're going to have this gas which is going to |
| 0:26.4 | cause pain, so you have a lot of bloating, okay. Constipation sometimes, diarrhea |
| 0:32.7 | sometimes. Now here's what's causing this problem, okay. Normally this stomach is |
| 0:40.8 | supposed to be very acid between one and three and there should be no microbes |
| 0:45.8 | growing there, okay. There might be a couple of microbes but it's not going to be |
| 0:50.0 | that many. Same thing with a small intestine. This is not a place where you're |
| 0:53.6 | supposed to have a lot of microbial growth going on right here. Most of the |
| 0:57.6 | microbial growth should be in the large intestine, so we have the stomach, the |
| 1:02.3 | small intestine which is like 23 feet and then we have the large intestine which |
| 1:07.2 | is five feet, okay. This is where all the microbes are right here. So SIBO is where |
| 1:13.6 | the microbes are growing in the small intestine and sometimes even up into the |
| 1:18.3 | stomach, okay. Now if the stomach is very, very |
| 1:21.9 | acid that will kill off the microbes, so the deeper root cause to this problem, |
| 1:28.6 | most of the time it's low hydrochloric acid, okay. And that could come from |
| 1:33.3 | antibiotics, anti-acid, junk food, consuming too much alkaline water, |
| 1:41.5 | baking soda which is alkaline. All these scenes can neutralize the acid right here |
| 1:46.8 | and then what happens when the normal function of the acid is supposed to kill |
| 1:50.4 | a microbe in a food that you eat, it doesn't get killed, it passes on through |
