Several years ago, when we first began the Enjoying the Journey broadcast, we started with my favorite book of the Bible.

I've adopted it really is my life's study on the book of

Philippians. And the theme, of course, of that great book is the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Truly, it is the Bible treaties on what it means to enjoy the journey. Now we're thrilled to share

this anniversary series with you again in the hopes that God will use it in your life to help you learn to enjoy the Lord Jesus Christ at whatever stage you happen to be on on life's journey.

I trust that these studies from the Word of God today will refresh your spirit and renew your strength for the days ahead.

It seems the whole world's talking about being happy today, trying to figure out the secret

of it all. The word has come to mean almost nothing. It sounds shallow even to talk about happiness.

And yet it is a Bible word.

Absolutely it is.

I would challenge you, study it for yourself.

Find the great truths that are found in the Holy Scriptures about the joyful life and about

happy.

I'm thinking now the Lord Jesus saying to his disciples, if you know these things,

happy are ye if you do them? Oh, there are so many things that we must apply to our life

from the Word of God if we want to truly live the happy Christian life. We're dealing with

how to stay happy in Jesus from Philippians chapter 4. We've learned first of all that if you're going

to stay happy in Jesus, you've got to stay right with one another. We've learned if you're

going to stay happy in Jesus that you have to stay prayerful. Now we've come in our study to verse 8 and

verse 9, famous verses. The Bible says, finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
