Connor. Glad to be on. Yeah, good. Good to have you. This is going to be interesting. You're a bit of a special task force.

You know, you've got to try a effect of skill sets going on that I think is going to be good,

you know, from a family mediator to therapist to a lawyer specializing in family law.

So I think we're going to have a very interesting conversation.

But what I wanted to dig into first is high-conflict people.

And so tell me what is a high-conflict person?

Well, generally, high-conflict people, I believe, are about 10% of adults, and actually

worldwide.

And there's research to support that in terms of personality disorders.

I would say high conflict people maybe half have a personality disorder and half don't.

But their characteristics, four main characteristics, they're preoccupied with blaming others.

They see the fault in everybody else and can't see the fault in themselves.

And so makes relationships hard, makes working together hard, makes being neighbors hard.

But many people can soften some of that if you manage them well.

So preoccupied with blaming others, a lot of all or nothing thinking, like for solutions,

it's my way or the highway, buddy.

Sometimes unmanaged emotions, people throw things, yell, burst into tears, that whole range.

And they may do things that 90% of people would never do in terms of, say, smearing someone on the

internet or punching holes in the wall.

One guy punched a tree and broke his hand.
