Well, thank you everybody for joining us here at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy.

We're just a couple days away from a big celebration in the church, and so we thought it very fitting to do a talk that I've never done before.

I've done a lot of talks on Christmas, but never how the origins of Christmas are Jewish and how Christ actually fulfills the Jewish

expectation of a Messiah because all of us have asked at one point or another, why don't the Jews accept Christ?

It doesn't make any sense to us, but we're going to help explain that today.

And so we hope that you can join us for this important.

And I think, as I was working on this, very informative, very interesting topic.

So let us begin in the name of the Father

and of the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Amen, Heavenly Father, we ask you send the Holy Spirit down

upon us to open our minds and hearts to receive this grace, the grace of the incarnation,

the grace of the birth of your son, and the fulfillment as him, of him, as the Messiah.

And we ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Okay, so you saw the cover there, the Jewish origins of Christmas, but really this is also how to show that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.

It's tied together.

All right, now I'm going to start with a very important one.

Go to our next slide of Brother Mark and show it. X-Mess.

And you hear all the time, don't ever use that. Actually, that is Greek. The X is Kai. That is the first

letter of the word Christ. So actually, the X and the M.A.S. is not first letter of the word Christ.

So actually the X and the MAS is not a rejection of Jesus,

even though I'm sure some people have used it for that,

which is inappropriate, obviously.

But X is the Kai for the first letter of Christ M.A.S.
