This is Diane, your lactation consultant.

And I am a lactation consultant with children of my own.

I have three kids.

One is 25 years old.

His name is Nathan.

He lives in Arkansas.

And I have twins that are 23 and that one is at school and one is here with me

and that is us. I've been a lactation consultant since 2008. So was a lactation consultant after my

kids stop breastfeeding. So everything I did during my

lactation years, the years that I was breastfeeding those kids, I had no idea what was going on,

like I was guessing everything. So I would have loved to have a podcast to listen to. And I felt so

alone while doing it too, you know. It's one of those careers,

I think, that usually people don't end up in until they realize that it's really hard themselves,

you know? Like there's so many of these breastfeeding helpers that did it,

got involved after their own breastfeeding experience.

Yep.

So often that happens.

And I'm Abby, the badass breastfeater.

And I'm mom to Jack, who 14, Xly, who's 11.

And I have a social work background.

And now I just homeschool my kids and do a podcast.
