Today in this field, we will talk about a question that was shouted to the president

about his message for kids during back to school season.

Now, that question was about violence, the random violence that comes at the end of a gun,

but there is another kind of violence perpetuated on children by ICE agents who, just yesterday,

rounded up hundreds of workers in Mississippi.

Some of these workers were fathers and mothers, including the parents of this 11-year-old

who was left in emotional agony.

Government, please put your heart, let my parents be free with the everybody else, please

don't leave the child with kindness and everything.

I'm in favor of immigration laws and enforcing such laws, but rationally and compassionately.

We need to grapple with the consequences.

When you grab up parents and their kids are in school and daycare, this is what you get.

Yes, school starts early in Mississippi.

This was literally the first week of school for some of these kids.

And it was inhumane.

Some of the parents have been in America longer than a decade.

I'd say at that point, call them American.

They have families.

They have roots.
