On this episode of the Dr. Tina show, I'm going solo, and I'm going to be sharing with you my best ideas on how to heal yourself up quickly after an injury.

While these tenants that I'm going to share hold true for any kind of

healing, even if it's chronic, an acute injury is a whole different ballgame than a chronic

injury. And I want to make sure that I share with you what I'm doing along the way. I have

recently hurt my Achilles. And if you know, that's the big tendon that goes down the back of your heel.

It's a pretty gnarly injury to get for anybody, especially someone who enjoys being active,

because, well, you can't really walk.

And when I originally heard it, I thought nothing of it.

I was doing sprints.

I was doing sprint intervals. I was doing

them barefoot. And I did not have my treadmill set to a high enough incline. It was my own fault.

I totally own it. I didn't warm up. It was morning time. I'm almost 49 years old. I got to spend

a little more time getting myself moving in the morning before I take off in a sprint. And so the injury was so severe that I was unable to really image it under my ultrasound.

I have an ultrasound at home. My background is that I'm a naturopathic physician and a chiropractor,

and I specialized in regenerative injections for well over a decade in clinical practice.
