0:11.0	And I'm Patrick Miller. Right now we're learning how to follow Jesus
0:15.6	by working our way through the Gospel of Luke. Today we get to explore a
0:20.5	fantastic little story in Luke chapter 24. It's a story about two of
0:25.8	Jesus's followers who were walking to a city called Amayas, which is about seven
0:31.1	miles from Jerusalem. This is all happening after Jesus's
0:35.4	crucifixion and these two followers were incredibly discouraged by what they had
0:40.9	seen go down in Jerusalem. Now one of these followers we learn is
0:46.9	named Cleopus. There is speculation that the other follower is his wife
0:52.2	Mary that's based on other New Testament books.
0:56.3	But that's really just speculation.
0:58.6	We don't know for sure who the other person was.
1:02.0	But while these two people are walking on the road to Amayas,
1:05.9	they are discussing everything that's been happening
1:08.8	in Jerusalem.
1:10.2	And that's when Jesus approached them and began to walk with them.
1:14.0	But we're told that God kept them from recognizing who Jesus was.
1:19.0	So tell me this isn't a crazy little scene.
1:22.0	Two friends walking down the road talking about how
1:25.1	discouraged they are about the death of Jesus when the resurrected Jesus starts
1:30.0	walking with them but of course they don't know it. So these two people they tell Jesus
