I think first and foremost, we should keep in mind what James Madison said.

We know what he talked about, the dangers of factionalism.

But at the end of his writings, he said,

the circulation of confidence, of trust is more important than the circulation of money.

And his explanation was, if we ever lose trust in public institutions or with each other,

then we're lost.

Well, Andrew, it's very fine to be back with you.

Indeed, my friend. We have some stories to tell from the trail for sure, but your story is epic and

fascinating. I first heard of you when you were in the throes of various congressional and senate

races. I didn't know the full backstory, which we'll get into. But you spent 31 years

in the US Navy, including as a three-star admiral. So my first question is the question that everyone has

with has for you, I'm sure. What did you think of top gun one and two?

Well, a lesson to take away from this one, Andrew, is Tom Cruise flew an F-14 in the first one.

And the second one is aboard a joint strike fighter. But you know, unlike what we do in America,

when we close down a coal mine, and we go to producing solar power panels, the middle class,

the enlisted of that aircraft carrier, we didn't throw them out and say, you don't know how to work

on this, we trained them for the next step. And so when I watched it, what was really missing in

that movie, and all I could think about was the 5,000 sales on an aircraft carrier, their average
