So a fun topic in that the way the Buddha described this psychological factor was kind of fun.

And I'll read you what he said in the Kavata Suta, the Buddha says, when one has achieved

a mind that is purified, free of phone rings and agitation.

When one has achieved an esteemed state, one can read the minds of others.

One can read the minds of others.

Another student, he says, one should live observing the mind from within and external minds.

So what does this mean reading other beings minds?

Well, actually, although we all conjure up probably associations with

The Buddha doesn't mean any of that nonsense. What the Buddha actually means he continues on to explain.

He says, what does this mean? Reading the mind of another another one knows when they are lustful,

aversive, delusional, obsessed, aware or distracted,

So the Buddha is not saying that you can

Nor, you know, like those tricks where somebody,

they say, I see in your life there's somebody whose name begins with M and a body of water.

You know, they say things that are really general.

And of course everybody can relate.
