For those of us who run live events, whether they're big events, whether they're retreats,

whether they're mastermind events, whatever it is, one of the big challenges this year,

obviously with the pandemic is, what do you do? Do you cancel them all together? Do you take them

virtual? What do you do? And one of the be the be, the, the, what do you do?

I'm going to keep you this in.

One of the big hangups, and this is something that I thought a lot about too,

is how do you recreate that excitement, that energy that often comes from live events

if you're going to take it virtual?

How do you create an amazing virtual event and capture that energy and that excitement

with a virtual event?

Well, today's guest is one of my accelerator members.

Her name is Hallie Sherman.

She's been on the podcast here before.

She was on back in August of 2019, and she is a full-time speech pathologist,

and she also has an online business where she sells resources for speech pathologists,

both on teachers by teachers and on her site. She's got programs, and she normally does

one to two live speech conferences a year,

meaning she co-hosts them with some colleagues of hers. And then she had an event that was

scheduled for this past July in 2020. And the pandemic was happening. And so that didn't take place.

So what they decided to do was take it virtual.

And it was a huge success. So today, we're going to break that down. Why it was such a big success.

What went into it? And why, for the foreseeable future, she's going to stick with virtual events.
