Summary

Hey Friend! Today I’m bringing back a special BONUS episode from the archives that I can’t wait to share with all the dreamers in my audience! I know you’ll love this one, especially if you’ve ever felt called to write, speak or maybe even start your own podcast!  My good friend and Called Creatives Co-Founder, Lisa Whittle, joins me on the mic today to give you an inside peek at what goes on at Called Creatives, our coaching community with hands-on training for women who want impact and influence. Lisa and I talk about following your dreams and how to push past the things that are holding you back. We discuss being called to write and speak and how to overcome the fear of rejection, failure, perfectionism, or thinking what you want to do is not what God has called you to do. Listen in to hear all about: The most common thing that holds women back who feel called to write. How overthinking, making assumptions, and compartmentalizing impacts God’s plan for us and how He wishes for us to partner with Him to fulfill His purposes on this Earth. What happens when you let go of the excuses that are holding you back from your full potential. We know that in order to achieve your dreams, you need someone to walk alongside you, telling you exactly what you need to know. Don’t worry if you’re not quite there yet; we’re going to give you the pieces to get there!  In Called Creatives, we help you reach your dreams with trainings and monthly LIVE coaching calls. Welcome to the show. I have a midweek bonus episode for you with my good friend and co-founder

0:32.0

of Called Creatives, Lisa Whittle. We're re-airing one of our most popular shows together because called Creatives is open for new members right now. Here's the deal. 80% of people feel like they have a book inside of them. I feel like that's true. Not only the number, but I believe that so many of us are more creative than we know. We're called to create. That's why we named it called

0:55.8

creatives. The world has billions of people in it. There are more than enough readers for every single

1:03.8

person. It's important that our stories get out and help the people who are supposed to read them.

1:09.8

But books don't make it out in the world

1:11.9

because we let fear or overwhelm or when do I have time to write, all those things, and mostly

1:17.1

what we don't know. We let that stop us. Lisa and I started called creatives because it's what we

1:23.3

wished we had when we first started writing years and years ago. We started and launched called

1:28.9

creatives in June of 2020, and we have seen such amazing things in the community, book deals,

1:36.1

people starting their speaking career, so many podcasts launched. It has been amazing. And one of the

1:42.1

great things that we see is so many of the women helping each other in the called creatives community from recommending agents, recommending publishers, helping each other start their podcast, interviewing each other on the podcast. It has been a joy to get to watch the community come together. So I wanted to re-air this episode for you, because if you

2:03.7

are that person where you have that nudge in your spirit, you know that you have a book,

2:09.2

and you may not even know what the book is about. I knew in January 2006 that I was going to write a

2:15.0

book one day. I just, I didn't have any help. I didn't know anybody. And I didn't know what I had to say. And it was 10 years to the month that I had that realization that that's what I wanted to do that I published my first book. Well, fast forward, I'm writing book number five right now. And I'm making up for lost time. If I had had something like

2:37.3

called creatives back in the day, people who would have taught me, here's how it works. Here's what
