We have to believe that we deserve more money. And because a lot of us who are first-gen

come from communities of color, we have experienced a lot of money traumas because of systemic

bullshit of these systemic forces that we actively have to work on it. And that's why we always

Sunem and I always centered improving our relationships with money. We shifted our mindset of

seeing money as something to be accumulated because that is a limited belief that was partly a product

of growing up in poverty, but also a product of internalizing capitalistic notions of success

to like seeing money as a tool, like seeing money as something that we deserve, that we deserve

abundance. And in order for us to

increase our incomes, we need to fully embrace that, that we attract money. And healing our money

wounds, improving our relationship with money is going to help us attract more money. It's going to

help us advocate for more money. And so that's why like improving our relationship with money is super,

super key in this conversation because a lot of folks don't, especially white folks, don't talk about that.

Because in our community, there's a lot of money trauma and we have to address that.

Improving our relationship with money is super important in this journey.
