Well, I grew up in Texas, and high school we played football and if you do that in the

summers we had something called two a days. If you don't know what that is it means

you practice football twice in a single day in Texas, in August, when it's 100 plus degrees.

And it was hot. It was so hot that we would sweat so much we could ring out our

clothing multiple times throughout the day. It's gross I know but it's accurate.

First time I really understood

what risked sweat bands were for. I just thought it was a fashion accessory for

strange people. But so much sweat would pour down my body it it would flow off my fingers.

But even when I had the sweat bands, they would saturate,

or my fingertips would sweat.

I'm like, it is so hot out here

that two of the most blessed words we could hear were the words water break.

I mean when you said that praise erupted from the team and we would just go and try to sip out of this little PVC pipe where some water would come out and just

oh oh just trying to get a little bit of water in our desperation. But I got to tell you the

greatest days of our young lives.

It only happened maybe once a year.

We're at the end of a particularly hard practice,

the coach would say,
