1:16.2 | Yeah, it's been a real pleasure to get to spend time with you. And in this book that you wrote has been one of the most significant books I've ever read in my life, if not the most significant. |
1:25.4 | And I'm sure we'll cover a lot of stuff in it. But I want to start off. The book is called Love Yourself, like your life depends on it. |
1:31.6 | I want to start off by asking you when was the first moment where you realized that you didn't love yourself? |
1:39.4 | You know, it's funny. I never used to think about the fact about loving myself. I just wasn't that guy. |
1:44.6 | No, I was not that guy. The thing about loving myself actually came when I had rock bottom. |
1:50.8 | And I really had bottom. And it was a desperate time to save myself. And you've not talked about this to power commitment. |
1:56.6 | I'd really fundamentally believe in the power commitment and making commitments to yourself. You got to keep them. |
2:01.8 | And in this desperate moment, I made this vow to myself. |
2:05.6 | But how did you even know that the rock bottom was caused because you didn't love yourself? |
2:10.2 | I didn't. You didn't. |
2:11.4 | I was at bottom like my company of follow-up, I lost everything. I was really sick. I was miserable. I was depressed. |
2:16.8 | And I was just like one morning or one night. I remember it was dark. |
2:20.0 | Remember that? You know, metaphorically, I think Starling had this role perhaps. |
2:24.2 | And I just got in my bed and I can't do this anymore. I'm either going to get out of this or die trying. |
