I'm your host, Corey Muscara, and in today's episode we're going to talk about what do you want to do every day for the rest of your life and why I hate that question.

It was one of those personal development kind of quotes.

And it said, what do you want to do every day for the rest of your life.

Now, I appreciate the perspective this is coming from.

There is something about it that gives you the feels and it's about being connected to your passion,

what you care about, and there's definitely some value to using it as a guiding question to explore

what you might want to commit to and explore.

But my response to that question is, how could you possibly know what you want to do every day for the rest of your life?

I hardly know what I want to eat for lunch today, let alone what I want to commit to for the rest of my life.

And maybe I'm just being too critical or overly picky, but I see a lot of this kind of stuff out there, lot of these kinds of questions and this is a stuff that gets shared a lot

People comment on oh yeah, give me an amen and it's it's good and this is the popular notion in our culture like find what lights

you up and then do that forever commit your life to that. But I think questions like this, put a tremendous amount of pressure on us to have it all figured

out and to know our life path.

More pressure than good. Even if this question is coming from a pure place

and it's meant to get you in touch with what you love,

I just think it's too big.

And because of that, it can easily be overwhelming
