So let's first talk about a special needs trust.

So what exactly is a special needs trust?

The special needs trust is a unique legal tool that families use in order to provide resources for their child that may need government benefits either now or at some time as an adult.

So if we're going to need support for a lifetime, now or at some time as an adult.

So if we're going to need support for a lifetime, many families want to apply for and receive certain government benefits.

And in order to do so, there are resource qualification limits to receiving those benefits. And if your child has

more financial resources than these limits, then all of a sudden they won't qualify for these

benefit programs, which the benefit programs can provide financial resources for health care,

for home and community-based supports, for housing, for transportation.
