onto what's mine and protect mine.

And now it's like, that's not how we flourish.

That's not how we thrive.

And so with someone who has a tight grip on their life,

they're like, well, I can't do this Carlos

because you don't understand, my life is too hard.

Like if I lose grip of anything that I have,

if I like, if I lighten up or if I try to like,

get outside of myself, it's all gonna fall apart.

Like how someone who's so caught up

in the scary city mentality, in the fear mentality,

how does one start to chip away at changing that?

And I know this is your book.

So like, okay, let's do this.

How to be human?

How do you chip away at the old limiting beliefs

that do not serve us as humans and us as a collective?

How do we chip away at these fearful, judging, hate,

where we actually like sometimes hate each other
