Welcome to Grow Cook Eat Arrange, the podcast of me, Sarah Raven, and today my husband, Adam Nicholson.

So we've banged on quite a bit about the fact that we had a lovely time at the Chelsea Flower Show, but one of the sort of take-home as for me was so many people came up and said that they loved Adam on the podcast and that he was funny and bought a different sort of strand to it.

It might not be all of you, but hopefully enough of you listening are keen on him having a

regular strand. And the thing is that at the moment, Adam has this sort of habit of being

incredibly knowledgeable about something for about two years because he's writing a book about

it and then moving on and becoming incredibly knowledge about the next thing.

His current project, which I'm sure lots of you have heard about, because we've talked about it on the podcast,

about bird school. Well, I'd never really paid any attention to the birds. They were too

small and they were too twitty. I mean, you know, and there was so many more kind of interesting

things going on in life.

And so, but then I quite recently felt very guilty about that,

that it was sort of terrible to be indifferent to the birds, to the life surrounding us,

especially because they're in such terrible trouble.
