I love this prayer that was sent to me and I can relate to it and it just simply said this,

Dear Lord, so far I've done everything right today. I haven't gossiped. I haven't lost my temper.

I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or overindulgent and I'm so happy with myself.

But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed.

And from that point on, I'm going to need a lot of help.

How many feel that way?

Like, I'm good until I get out of bed and at that point the battle begins.

If you're listening today, both in person and around the

country and around the world, you've made it out of bed and the help we need, we need immediately.

But we also have to realize that that help is not only available, but that help comes from

a people that pray. And so today, for these next few moments,

I want to be instructional because of what may be at stake here is so important.

In order to make prayer more than a sermon and a challenge,

but to make it part of your personal DNA, our church,

or your church that you're watching,

maybe that are part of, we need to be practical because what we're getting ready to face

is so critical. Because in a sense, like that prayer, you had to get out of bed and face the day,

prayer has to become part of our DNA.

And I think that the fight we must fight can only be one if people would get on their knees

and begin to pray again.

To remove prayer is to invite defeat.
