And I'm really pleased to speak today with Hazard Lee, who is the author of the new book, The Art of Clear Thinking, something I think we all struggle with once in a while.

And the subtitle is A Stealth Fighter Pilots Timeless Rules for Making Tough Decisions.

Hazard Lee is a U.S. Air Force Combat Pilot and Instructor.

And as a flight commander, he led pilots into combat during one of the most intense periods of the war in Afghanistan. And there he flew over 80 combat missions and became

the only fighter pilot to ever fly two different types of jets into combat on the same day

while supporting troops under fire. He was hand-picked to fly the F-35, which is the most

advanced and expensive weapon system in history, which was still in development at the time. So he just

has an incredible resume of serving our country. So first of all, thank you for your service to our

country, Hazard, and welcome. Thank you, Martha. It's great to be on. Did your parents name you Hazard?

No. Havs is actually my call sign. Tell me about that. What's your, what's your birth

name? Birth name is Justin. So, but all the fighter pilots that I'm with, we don't know our first

name. So in fact, we have games sometimes where you have to guess your, you know, wingman's first name, and most of us can't do it.

So most of us, just like in the movie Top Gun, go by our call signs.

So mine is hazard.
