podcast. My name is Brian Devilla and I am your favorite real estate

investor and today we are interviewing someone very special.

Her name is Janelle Carlson from Ventura, California. She's going to touch on how she has done virtual,

wholesaling, virtual flipping, Airbnb, and buying apartments. She pretty much

has done almost every aspect of real estate investing, so I think this is going to be a great episode.

But before we get into all the knowledge, I guess, can you give us a quick intro about yourself Janelle?

Yeah. Hello everybody I started investing about three years ago.

We me and my husband Dawn we are a husband wife team and we first started by investing

at a state in Indianapolis we bought a triplex for $20,000 put 30K into it so we

were all in for 50K, and we rented it all out for about $1,500 a month.

So that was our start.

We learned a lot of lessons along the way.

It was brutal managing a property and that big of a rehab from so far away

but after that we just never stopped and we just continued buying more and more rentals in

Indy and then we expanded to Cincinnati and now we just

wholesale and flip out there in the Cincinnati market and then once we were able to

build up more of our cash flow and that kinds of stuff. We moved into the California market and now have flipped and have an Airbnb out here.

Nice, beautiful. I guess so, um, so throughout your entire career you've lived in California.
