| 0:17.8 | Instead of focusing on specific resolutions, we talked about identifying key |
| 0:21.5 | values and developing a kind of stance toward life. This is your current answer to the question, |
| 0:27.3 | what kind of person do I want to be? We walked through a number of ways to do that, and by the end of |
| 0:32.1 | the episode, hopefully, we all ended up with a few core values, maybe two or three that you want to really focus on in the year ahead. |

We were having one of the classic, like, what do you want to do with your life conversations that, of course, you have with your kid around the dinner table when they're, 17 years old or whatever. And I said something like, I think I'm just an ideas guy. |
| 1:31.6 | And you were like, well, that sounds nice, but I think that everyone's an ideas guy, son. Everybody wants to be an idea. Yeah, something along the lines of that. I mean, you were more affirming than that. You were like, wow, yeah, you have great ideas. And also, you know, a lot of people, a lot of good ideas out there. Maybe out there maybe what are careful about that so I distinctly remember this it was like a formative |
| 1:48.7 | experience for well good for you they didn't just throw it off or you know throw the tomato |
| 1:54.1 | i think i probably did throw it off for a good five years but then i came back to it i went ah you |
| 1:58.7 | know maybe the old man had something there. |
| 2:01.1 | Maybe he had a point. So, okay, maybe to make this real for people, I think it would be |
| 2:06.5 | kind of helpful if we sort of put our bodies up for science a little bit and maybe used ourselves |
