It's funny, I never used to think about the fact about loving myself. I just wasn't that guy.

0:07.7

The thing about loving myself actually came when I had rock bottom and I really had bottom and

0:12.1

it was a desperate time to save myself and in this desperate moment I made this vow to myself.

0:17.0

I vowed to love myself and I, you know, it was a longer vow but it was my loving myself.

0:21.5

Where that came from, I had no idea. I still don't. It was a pure primal vow.

0:26.8

It came from like a de-place of literally I was trying to save myself. When I realized that,

0:31.7

I don't know how to do that and I got to figure out because I made a commitment to myself and

0:35.9

and a vow to yourself is a sacred act. You know, you do that, you keep it and life will change

0:41.8

and that to figure out how to do it. It's an internal thing, it's a mindset, it's where you,

it's running on its own and there's no failure either. If you're doing the work, you're succeeding.

1:11.6

There are human beings, right? And fundamentally, like the mind, we're stuck with the human mind,

1:16.7

this monkey brain that runs around on this untamed horse, right? The details differ, but I think

1:22.6

the core is the same. And fundamentally, it's, it's fear and love. You can't fight fear.

1:29.2

You know, like fear, you know, it's a concept that I've learned is that, you know, light and darkness.

1:34.8

You can't fight darkness. Darkness is the absence of light. So what you do is you work in the light,

1:39.2

you bring the light in and that takes away the darkness. And so that's something I actually really

1:43.9

learned on my on my own and trying to save myself was if I worked on the light, it would take care

1:49.6

of the rest. And that's love. Love is ultimately light. When you feel love, you feel light. There's
