Summary

Welcome friend! Have you ever found yourself wanting to spend hours talking to someone who is not only interesting but also interested in what you have to say? Allow me to introduce you to my friend Joshua Becker. Joshua is here to talk to us about living a meaningful life with no regrets. He shares how we can move past the things holding us back and how we don’t feel as much regret if we are in service to others. You know that I just love when research backs up what we’ve known for thousands of years.  Joshua Becker is a prolific author, father of two, and founded a nonprofit organization for orphans called The Hope Effect. He is also the founder and editor of Becoming Minimalist, a website dedicated to intentional living for the last 13 years. (He’s been blogging on the internet almost as long as I have!).  Listen in to learn more about:  Joshua’s journey from being a youth pastor in Vermont to being a full-time blogger and embracing his minimalist journey.  What minimalism is and how others can push back against it. How to overcome past mistakes that may make you feel regretful. Practical steps for those who choose to become more minimalist. Favorite quotes: Possessions were not the only distraction that kept me from pursuing my best and most meaningful, fruitful life.  Why would I want to chase more money if I don’t need more money to live on? Admit the mistakes, notice them and do your best to learn from them. We can redeem our past mistakes if we allow them to recreate who we are. Minimalism, to me,  has always been removing the things I don't need, so I can focus on pursuits that are more important in the short run and long run.  Great things we discussed:  Fitbod app The Greatest Salesman in the World - Book The Office deep dive podcast The Office - TV series Elevation worship - Iheart radio Costco - Stroopwafels Joshua Becker website  Inventing Anna - Netflix series The Crown - TV series Ray LaMontagne - It's always been you If my marriage had a soundtrack  - Spotify Playlist Confident Motherhood Community Hope you loved this episode!
