guys want to follow along and as always I'm going to read the scriptures that I'm also

going to pick with the devo. The scripture is John chapter 15 verse 8 and it says

this when you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings

glory to my father. The devotion was titled, Stay connected no matter what.

And it says this.

My oldest daughter's best friend in kindergarten was a girl named Jana Roby.

I have so many memories of them, like watching them in the rearview mirror being

silly having fun in the back seat of the car I would never have imagined that

16 years later I would be standing in front of a church sanctuary officiating

Jana's funeral.

For six and a half years, Jana battled cancer with incredible courage and faith.

Cancer took so much from her.

She lost so much of her hearing she was losing her sight, spent most of her time in a

wheelchair and struggled to speak clearly due to facial paralysis. Cancer robbed

Jana of so many abilities, yet her life was still remarkably fruitful.

She taught all of us what it meant to stay connected to Christ in the midst of relentless hardship.
