I've had loads of mince pies, Leroy, of course I have. It's pie-tastic in our house.

Now, we always call it on Postcards from Midlife, the Christmas frizzle-frazzle, don't we?

Every year we do a frizzle frasel episode.

But I'm in the Christmas mood already because I've been working with my teenager on her

Dickens' homework. She's been doing a Christmas carol. And I was just sat with her thinking,

why is she not getting this? She's waffling on about Jacob and Robert Marley. What's going on?

And then the penny dropped for me. I realised Jacob and Robert Marley were played by Statler and Waldorf

in the Muppets Christmas Carol and that she had actually not read the book, as she claimed,

that she had just merely watched the Muppets version. And that made me love for more,

frankly. Now, I've also got one little Christmas thing to show you, which was such a joy when I

found it, Trish. Look at my new Christmas cards. Oh, it's your dog. It's pixel, a Welsh terrier with

reindeer is. They are of my dog. They are the shelter cards that I got in

Oxfam. If you've got a Welsh terrier or something akin to a Welsh terrier, maybe an Airdale,

that is the Christmas card for you. It's very good. Now, can I just say you haven't commented

on my very Christmas evening.
