We talked a lot about pre-reading and the importance of that.

But we also recognize there comes a time when it's physically impossible to keep up.

You've got four kids.

All of them are avid readers, I'm assuming.

I had four, and they're all avid readers.

And it just becomes physically impossible to keep up.

It does.

And in our home, I became a literal bottleneck because I was used to pre-reading every single book that they ever read.

And literally I had a pile on my nightstand and children waiting for me to hurry up and finish those so that I could pass them off.

And these were books they wanted and they were complaining about it.
