Hello, everybody, and welcome to the Evolve with Emily Show. I'm your host, Emily Hayden, and happy July 4th. I am recording this on July 4th. This is the Independence Day for America. I know I have a lot of listeners from a bunch of other countries as well, but this is our day that we get to shine and celebrate America and the freedom that we have.

And man, am I so thankful for the freedom that we have here in America because I know other countries just do not have the same freedom that we have.

And we have an insane amount of opportunity here.

So I am just thankful and I want to express my gratitude, especially to the service members, male and female,

who serve to make sure that they protect our freedoms. So happy July 4th. I hope everybody stayed safe.

The way I started my July 4th, I went and had coffee with my future roommate. So I'm sure my living

situation is quite confusing to a lot of people.

Like I said, I came to San Diego last October, had a temporary spot, but I was traveling

nonstop all the way through March. In March, I decided to rent a room from a friend

for just a couple of weeks. I think it was supposed to be like two

weeks. And then we extended and then we extended and then extended some more. We just really got

really close. It just clicked. It really worked. And it was perfect to give me some time to

figure out where I wanted to be more long term. My main goals were to have a house with a big backyard for my puppies,

Vinnie and Frankie, where I could also bring my sauna, my cold plunge, my gym, so that I could have a

really beautiful, peaceful sanctuary. And this would be with roommates who are aligned with me. And there were

just a lot of things I needed to

put in order before I could make that move. So, um, you guys probably know my roommate, Gina. She's

absolutely incredible. We've built such a beautiful friendship. And I'll probably do an episode actually

on female friendship because that has been such a priority in my life recently, this year especially. And it's, wow,

oh, female friendship. It like waters the soul like no other. I'm such a huge believer that

women need other women and men need other men just as much as we need, you know, women need
