video, we're going to be discussing how to get started as a general partner in multifamily. And it's

important because when Jake and I started, we only knew one way of getting into real estate. And I think a lot of

newer investors only have one path. When you

only have one path, you may become desperate with that one path. The more tools that you can have,

it gives you the more options. The more options that you have, the better the quality of life

you can get done. So starting off as a general partner, one of the easiest ways to be able to

get into real estate by starting off as a general partner is becoming a limited partner,

an LP. That's investing passively in a deal. And what does that allow you

to do? Well, to me, it allows you to do a couple of things. First of all, it allows you to put your

toe in the water, to test it to see if you actually like real estate. It also allows you to say to others,

yes, I am an equity investor in a deal. It may give you some credibility. You may not be

actively running the deal, but you do own real estate. And what I love about it is once you
