D.C. area Lucas, welcome to the show. Why don't we start with you just telling us a little bit about yourself and how you got

started owning rental properties.

Hi, Dan.

Yeah, thanks for having me.

I'm so excited to be here.

And I love your show and I am excited to be able to share with you.

I love it.

Great.

I got started in rental properties mainly for one reason,

and that was that there was this girl that I liked, and I wanted to try to impress her. So it's

very unconventional, but she was in real estate, or at least her family was, and she was young and had

just bought her first rental property,

and she was going to do a house hack where she was living there and having roommates pay for

the mortgage. And I thought, oh, my gosh, like, she's smart and pretty. And I really like her. So

how can I get her attention? And so you literally had no interest in real estate before this girl.

No. Okay. Okay. I love it. That's great. I thought, you know, I lived in one house my whole

life growing up and until I went off to college, that was the first time I moved. And so I thought

that real estate was just something that you buy one house and you buy it with your spouse

and you live there, you know,
