It's a principle that fosters their normal desire for autonomy

as they get older, obviously, especially in those toddler years,

builds confidence, but balances this all with their need for you.

This is my dream to create a child that feels confident

and understands that they are capable of doing things

but that if they need us as parents, they have us there.

And yes, it's true, we can raise kids who are independent
