| 0:57.0 | Life purpose. So this is part two about finding your life purpose. This is a big question I get. One of the most common questions I get. Of course, a lot from young people, but not only young people. |
| 1:11.0 | Well, we're struggling. What is my life purpose? They feel like their life has no purpose or meaning. They just go to school or they're going to work and they have their jobs and they're just doing what everybody else is doing, but it feels meaningless. |
| 1:30.0 | Or they're unhappy. It feels boring. It feels frustrating. What's the point? Why am I doing this? I just keep going to school and taking these tests and I get good grades. Why? What's the point? What's my purpose in life? Or get out. People get out and then they're working and they're working some job. They don't really like the job. It's boring. Just go to work. |
| 1:55.0 | Come home. Watch TV. Play in the computer. Go to bed. Next day up. Go to work again. This is called the rat race in English. This is an idiom. Rat race. Rat race. |
| 2:09.0 | The rat race is this situation where you're just doing the same thing every day. Going to work. Come home. Go to work. Come home. Go to work. Come home. And you just feel kind of bored and you don't not really sure why are you doing it and there's there feels like there's no purpose. There's no meaning. |
| 2:28.0 | Another common situation, one that I had in my life for a long time, is that you maybe you enjoy parts of your life, but the work part of your life is terrible. You just go and you hate your job. You hate your job and then you're saying, well, I hate this job. |
| 2:46.0 | So then you try another job and oh, you hate that job too. And then you try another job. You hate that job too. And you're like, oh, my God, I don't like anything, which how do I find something that I that I like doing, right? That's and that's just very basic. |
| 3:02.0 | But we spend a lot of time working in life, right? It's a lot of hours. If you work full time, it's eight hours a day or more, many jobs more. But, you know, 40 hours a week or more. |
| 3:14.0 | It's definitely more if you think about how much time do you need to get ready for your job, your work, you know, you have to get up, put on some nice clothes, how much time to go to work, you know, how much travel time. |
| 3:30.0 | For some people, it's maybe it's not much. For some people, they spend a lot of time. Maybe their job is one hour to get to work. And then another hour to come home. That's two hours. That's two extra hours a day. |
| 3:44.0 | That's, you know, just getting to work and getting back. So that's a lot of time in our life, 40, 50 hours, sometimes more for some people. So if you don't like the time, if you don't like the job you're doing, if you don't like the work time. |
| 4:02.0 | Oh, my God, it's really going to make your life unhappy because this even if everything else in your life is good, that's you're spending a huge amount of time doing something that you don't like. |
| 4:14.0 | This is an important question. Very important question. We started with the last show. We really talked about sort of some very deep things, very deep, right, looking at really life purpose and humility and Sri Prabhupada's definition of humility and why that's important. |
| 4:33.0 | But today we're going to be a little less deep, so a little more practical today, a little more practical, right, really looking at, you know, what should I do with my time in life, especially the work time, right. |
| 4:46.0 | And how do you find something or some, some things, maybe it's more than one thing, where you feel some purpose and meaning. |
| 4:55.0 | I also want to meet Tripuraris. This gave a nice donation. Thank you. Hari Bol, Hari Krishna. Thank you very much. |
