Summary

Welcome back to the Rhythms For Life podcast! In this episode, Gabe and Rebekah sit down with their longtime friend, bestselling author, and Founder/Visionary of Gather. With a friendship spanning nearly 15 years, they dive into a timely conversation about where the church is headed and the radical movements of God happening right now. This conversation explores the heart of Jennie’s newest book, The Lie You Don't Know You Believe, which addresses the specific spiritual attacks of our day and the freedom found on the other side of truth. From witnessing campus revivals to hearing raw stories of transformation through baptism, Jennie shares her perspective on why this so-called “dark” generation is actually more desperate and open to the Gospel than ever before.

We have all of them. Which means spring break still in the calendar. It takes me back, Rebecca, to college spring breaks. Oh, yes. Spring break 95 in particular.

We were in college in Lynchburg at Liberty University, and the thing to do is a road trip, and this was a traumatic road trip, though. Oh, my goodness. That still haunts you to this day. I can't wait. You're bringing it up. I'm sorry, but I mean, we basically, a group of us caravan. There's multiple cars. in one car, the girl's in the other car.

And we're supposed to be, they were supposed to be looking out for us, but they were not. Well, you guys, I think, just got off track. And we didn't have GPS. No, no. You were the only one of our whole group that had a phone. That's true. My little Erickson flip sitting on my belt.

And I just remember like flying in the air as we hit each tree on the side and just feeling like when this thing stops, will we still be alive? Yeah. It was like that. It's so traumatic. And it still bothers you to this day. I mean, if it's nighttime, you often will start to doze off and you quickly wake up and grab me. Hey, are you okay? Are you awake? Are you awake? So my rule is because I was asleep, I was asleep, but then the driver fell driver fell asleep. And my dad had kind of a little pattern of dozing off a little bit when he would drive on the interstate. So I think the neurotic in me is like, we did all live, thank God. And it was really a miracle that we walked away because the suburban was totaled. We had a lot of bruises. We had to go to the hospital. And then on my little Erickson phone, I remember getting messages hours later. I called him so many times. And all the guys were like, what? And you guys are in a hospital. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Recovering. And we're trying to figure out how to get you back to spring break and I remember
