The way I think of confidence is just like an actual willingness to be in the forces of life.

And trust, not necessarily that I'm going to get what I want, because we also fail quite a lot. I think trust is interesting. It's just sort of a feeling of this is going to be okay. I can work with this. It's that quality of like here I am. This be hard but I'm grounded and maybe that means
