Summary

Did you ever try running away from home as a kid hoping your parents would beg you to come back home? In Revelation 2, Jesus calls the Ephesian church to “Come back home!” Why? What were they doing wrong? Jesus commends them for all the things they’re doing well, but He says there is one thing they lack–love. It’s possible to do a lot of things for God but not be in love with God. In today’s message, Pastor Austin challenges us to avoid cold, mechanical religion and to fall more in love with Jesus.

0:07.3	And if you would turn in your Bibles now to the book of Revelation, Revelation Chapter 2 is where our Bible study is going to take place.

0:20.6	And again, we're going to be in Revelation chapter 2.
0:26.7	God desires to speak to you this morning. God desires to intimately speak to your individual

0:39.4	God knows every single need in this room.
0:43.0	Nothing catches him by surprise.
0:44.5	Nothing catches him off guard.
0:48.0	He knows how your morning has been.
0:49.9	He knows how your week has been.
0:54.6	He knows the different challenges or joys within the last month.
1:01.2	And right now, if you would be so willing to surrender your life to the Lord and say,
1:04.5	Lord, speak to me now through the pages of your word by the power of your spirit,
1:07.5	he desires to do that in a very intimate real way.
1:10.6	And many of you are here right now. You're here this morning and you feel like
1:13.3	God is distant. Let me just encourage you. God is not distant. His silence does not mean his
1:20.6	absence. He is right there with you, desiring right now through the teaching of his word to
1:27.2	draw you closer
